HIT AFTER HIT! - THE NEW YEAR PUNK COLLECTION
Hi 😎
It was an exciting year, politically disastrous, as in previous
years. The madness and idiocy seem unstoppable, and our future,
like that of our planet, seems bleaker than ever.
This is
nothing new, really. I wore the words “NO FUTURE” on my leather
jacket back in the late 1970s, and even then it was not without
reason. But with the passing of the years and the supposed wisdom
that comes with them, all I can do today is shake my head in despair
as I watch humanity run headlong into destruction with its eyes wide
open.
Instead of coming together and fighting for a just and
peaceful coexistence, the desperate seek salvation in a leader,
which, as experience has shown, has never worked.
It should be
noted that my dream of “PEACE and ANARCHY” will probably always
remain a dream, but I am leaving no stone unturned in my efforts to
live this dream on a small scale, which is working surprisingly well.
There are alternatives to the mainstream in everyday life as well as in music, which is what this blog is all about.
When it comes to
music, I consider myself to be an extremely tolerant person, but
despite this, my friends often refer to me as a music Nazi. Not
because I follow any right-wing extremist nutcases, but rather
because my taste in music is rooted in punk in the broadest sense,
and I find it very difficult to enjoy other sounds.
Everyone
should listen to whatever they want!
I've tried to
document the bands whose songs and albums have thrilled me this year
and inspired me to spontaneously dance around my own place, raise my
fist to the sky, or simply put a smile on my face in the following
chart.
